THE STORY BEHIND CREATING THE AWARD-WINNING MENTORSHIP IMAGE.

Image Name - Naked Ruins

This image was created in the Richard Demarco Gallery. Formally a church, then a printer and a gallery at the time of capturing Naked Ruins. The top floor was always intended as a sculpture studio due to its fabulous light but regrettably it never came to fruition and the building still lies unused.

Naked Ruins, I created using my 10”x 8” Wista field camera with my grandfather’s 1930’s 12” Goerz Dagor uncoated lens. Film was Kodak TMax100. The final silver print was made using my grandfathers 12”x10” DeVere cold cathode enlarger printed onto Kodak Ektalure 20”x24” paper, processed in Dektol and selenium toned.
